as someone that has not watched more than the initial reveal I am puzzled by all the talk on this game, it's going from "very poorly done game" to "yeah it's pretty nice". It kinda killed interest for it a bit. I have a difficult time picturing Motion Twin missing that bad at making what they love.

Regarding Xbox

In June 2026 we announced that the release of Big Walk would be limited to computers, Switch 2 and PS5. Since then, we have received many messages and comments, asking about a future Xbox release. We would like to address those questions here:

We have made the decision not to release Big Walk on Xbox, in accordance with the Palestinian-led BDS (Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions) movement’s call to boycott Microsoft, and their designation of Microsoft Games (and Xbox) as a priority boycott target. If you need help understanding our motives, we would recommend reading about why Microsoft is a BDS priority target, the successes this kind of pressure has already had on Microsoft, and especially, watching this great introductory piece by People Make Games.

It has always been our intention for Big Walk to be played by groups of friends, and we know that keeping the game off Xbox runs counter to those intentions. This decision means that some people will miss out on playing Big Walk with their friends, and we understand the disappointment we’re causing. We are disappointed too.

We would love for people to be able to play the game on Xbox, but not until Microsoft and/or Xbox have been removed as BDS boycott targets.

We’ve made this decision with the belief that meaningful change can be made in the world, that coordinated collective action can confront even the most powerful interests, and that one day, Palestine will be free.

Ok maybe I'm crazy for this but at this point... Release the hame in 2027 and complete. This game feels like it is missing parts and having the news they are giving them to us is good but also.... Are the routes really THAT unfinished if they are one year away based on the release ? I feel strange

But yeah that's about it on what I'll say, that and also I did not make it to the end, the game crashed after a very very long map, designed to torture you and slow you down. I am usually a patient person and I will keep throwing myself at the wall when met with difficulty, but in this case, no.

Now I love Fortuna and I appreciate a lot of the world building done in this game, dare I say it addresses aspect of Three Houses I hated. But seeing everyone else being so irrelevant and inconsequential to the story is tragic after investing hours of playtime getting to know them.

Part 3 is so sad, because you can feel how unfinished it is, so many things lose meaning, the usual protagonist sunset to leave their spotlight to Eshmel... except the truth is it's just Fortuna lore dumping Sothisverse lore to make sure we get the message this universe is not over yet.

Part 2 goes into Classic Fire Emblem mode, you basically just go chapter to chapter, the issue is that the map design also goes back to classic Fire Emblem, no, not the good ones my friends. It eventually concludes to setup for the final part, that is also the weakest part of this game by far

Part 1 has everything mostly right, gameplay, map designs, story, characters it's a great fun time. It's only faults lie in something quite funny.... it's the game being basically cut in half, yes a 150+ hours game cut in half. There are many major events/conclusions to stuff off-screen.

FIRE EMBLEM FORTUNE'S WEAVE 4.5/5 Expected nothing after first announcement for this game but ended up being convinced by later trailers, I was happy to see this game delivered. The game is divided in three parts, which are sadly go from best to worst. Part 1 is the highlight of this game.
