Movie posters that could only be put up in British railway stations, one of a series of probably one.
An ad for a ghost movie with the tagline "See it. Séance. Haunted."; a reference to the British Transport Police's long-running "See it. Say it. Sorted." ads encouraging the public to report anything vaguely suspicious.

Hi, I’m a sighted alt text user! Here are some reasons I use it: - Slow Internet on an airplane - I’m over 40, I have no idea who that celebrity is - Bluesky broke images again - My vision sucks and that text is too small to read otherwise - Conveys further context and authorial intent

Arbor Low, Derbyshire. This photo was taken on a beautifully still day in May this year. Only skylarks and bees for company during the visit to this stunning place. 📷 needs a click. #StandingStoneSunday #ArborLow #PeakDistrict
A view from the bank of Arbor Low Henge, across the ditch to a grassy central circle of (probably) fallen standing stones. In the distance is a farm and a line of trees. The sky is a milky blue.

10th of Owltober! This Great Horned Owl was admitted to West Sound Wildlife Shelter after being trapped in bird netting. His expression says it all. Want to donate to WSWS? westsoundwildlife.org/donate Source: fb.com/243452475656... #owlsintowels #owltober 💛🦉
An ornery Great Horned Owl is seated in a white towel on the lap of a rehabilitator wearing thick gloves and a light grey-pink top emblazoned with the West Sound wordmark. The owl's expression is the highlight, with eyebrows at perfect 45 degree angles. His pupils and irises are half moons, staring up at the photographer with immense fury like he's the lead role in The Shining. Clack Nichowlson of course. The rage is somewhat softened by an unkempt bunch of feathers flared atop his crown like the tines of a mangled spork. A highly menacing spork, but a spork nonetheless.

A page from my grief memoir in progress, cropped for easier reading (in theory). Death and Money, they go hand in hand.
Text reads: My siblings, the Log House, and class are important elements of this backstory. Growing up I felt a lot of confusion about my social class. Dad did well for himself, his business was successful and he seemed to have a natural knack for managing money and using it to his advantage.Text reads: My mother did not. She poured her energy into a perpetually failing small business, limped it along year after year, used child support to pay for our housing and “we can't afford that” was her regular refrain.Text reads: Was I on the bottom rung of the American Dream, gripping white knuckle onto middle class status? Or was I flirting with luxury, denying I was rich while riding in a new SUV and flying out to the Grand Canyon with my siblings? The full page, a collage of early 90s JC Penney catalog images but all the models have either a dog or a pig head. The panels are skewed, shooting off at different angles.

Fab panel for #Wayword today with Tasha Suri and VL Bovalino talking about lady knights and warrior women. Tasha kindly signed my illumicrate edition despite the fact that it technically came signed and dedicated it, with a little drawing of the cat from the book
Illumicrate edition of the Isle in the Silver Sea: Vina the knight is on the left in pale armour with short dark hair and she's holding the chin of Simran, the witch, who has long dark hair. What I always find fascinating about this stuff is that the "non-brewed condiment" label isn't, as you'd think, to do with modern food-labelling laws. It's because of the temperance movement more than a century ago.
