I had a dream in which the BBC had started using Dire Straits' Money For Nothing style CGI in its coverage of sporting events, particularly cricket matches, and this had somehow spawned a long thread of terrible puns and dad jokes on here. Suspect I need to get offline for a bit.

Here’s a thread of some of the more unusual or obscure aircraft to fly in Britain during the Second World War. Some were only intended as experimental or proof of concept designs, while others never progressed beyond the prototype stage.
Front left 3/4 view of a camouflaged Blackburn B20 flying boat/floatplane with RAF markings on temporary wheels outside a hangar. An unconventional design, its lower hull is separate from the fuselage, acting as a central float; in this picture, it’s shown extended on hydraulic struts. A twin engined design, it also features retractable wingtip floats.

Just seen a complaint that Blue Sky doesn't contain nearly enough silliness, so, y'know...
Royal Navy monitor HMS Marshal Ney. It's basically a hull, a spotting tower, and a honking great pair of 15" guns perched atop a tall cylindrical turret, the type of which usually has fair maiden lowering her hair for a fairytale suitor, or at least a lad with a fetish for blondes who keep tripping over their ponytail. It's a deeply silly ship.
