Suicide risk in older adults with autistic traits is linked to depression and isolation more than autism itself
A study in Nature Mental Health provides evidence that depression, trauma, and loneliness drive suicidal thoughts in older adults with autistic traits. The findings indicate that targeted mental health support could help protect this vulnerable aging population.

I refuse to use the term "AI era". It conveys a level of persistence which is unwarranted for an innovation that may very well never become sustainable or economical. Instead I propose the term "AI crisis", given that it's something that wreaks havoc and that nobody has asked for.

We found no support for a unitary inhibition construct. Instead, the stop-signal task (SST) was related to symbolic arithmetic in both 5- and 7-year-olds. In contrast, the flanker task was related to non-symbolic maths, but only in 7-year-olds.
