Fully electric aviation has some major challenges (mostly: batteries are heavy and don't get lighter as they get used up) but I love the idea of decreasing aircraft emissions through a hybrid approach, perhaps as a step toward new, clever solutions for fully electric air transport in the future.

Chess is hard for humans, but not for computers.
One day, it will be fully solved like checkers.
Between now and then, or even after, have fun.
People enjoy many games/sports where machines are vastly betterThere are more possible chess games, by about 40 orders of magnitude, than atoms in the observable universe. To solve chess, you'd have to map them all. Good luck.

Wrong, all legal chess positions are ~40 oom less than the estimated atoms in the Universe. And ASI will figure out ways to solve and compress that are far beyond what we could possibly comprehend.

Age is correlated w/ lots of physical properties like size, facial morphology, etc., but it's not identical to them. How do kids come to understand it as a chronological process? @kostaboskovic.bsky.social explores the role of numerical cues in constructing a concept of age.

Exp. 2: With this change, we found that children no longer showed a size bias. This suggests that young children differentiate age from size, and use size as a proxy for age only when more salient cues to age, such as facial morphology and numerical age, are unavailable or uninterpretable. 9/10
