Are you studying underlying mechanisms? I recently started and struggled with what exactly a mechanism was and how to research it. I wrote a theoretical statement aiming to clarify how we conceptualise mechanisms, which is now in press @ Journal of Numerical Cognition doi.org/10.23668/psy...

New open access paper in @jcgntn.bsky.social: bit.ly/4bt2D8Q! We developed and validated an open-source cognitive control test battery (bit.ly/4ql9gyP), using a transparent, open science approach. We worked on this for 6 (!!) years, with many lab members, so I'm thrilled to see this published.

I’m looking for a study where someone has looked at accuracy on Raven’s matrices (or similar) items under extreme time pressure at the item level (not time pressure at the test level). I can’t find anything, but surely this study must exist?

In a new pub, we examined subgroup differences in Asian American children, particularly 1) the diversity of math achievement and 2) what factors predict this diversity. Ultimately, we wanted to see whether the factors predicting math achievement is the same across subgroups. doi.org/10.1080/1040...
