Did you know Bank/Monument Station has 16 entrances? It’s one of the most confusing stations on the London Underground, & with good reason I set out to find every single entrance and see just how far this Underground maze really goes. I counted 16 but I think there may be more?

Listening to my generation talk about the 90s the way the previous generation talked about the 70s is tiresome. No that wasnt 'back when movies were good' or 'music still meant something'. There's loads of great shit coming out now and there was loads of slop back then. You just miss being young.

Today is Venn Day, in celebration of the mathematician John Venn, born on this day in 1834. To commemorate the occasion, here’s a poem in the form of a Venn Diagram.
Poem title: At the Intersection

The poem is divided into two overlapping circles.

The left-hand circle is titled ‘me’ and the text reads:
the day we
went out to have
an ice-cream, we said nothing
just let our silence melt in
the air as we walked across the common
our love never tiring at all

The right-hand circle is titled ‘you’ and the text reads:
we should
have talked it over but
nothing ever seems to get
in your fat head. You are so
common that I wish we’d never met
at all and I’d married Tim instead

In the intersection of the poem (where the two circles overlap), the text reads:
we
have
nothing
in
common
at all

Got a little teary reading @sathnam.bsky.social alternative George Michael history 200,000 people bopping along to Club Tropicana would have been something www.theguardian.com/books/2026/j...
As the book draws to a close, Sanghera offers a heartbreaking alternative history. He imagines Michael conquering his addictions, coming to a complete accommodation with his musical past (to the end of his life, he was dismissive of Wham!, describing their oeuvre as an exercise in “ignoring my own intelligence” and declining to play most of their hits live) and headlining Glastonbury, “getting pleasure from the audience reaction to Club Tropicana”.
