It's been a good year for Aust's wonderful Bogong Moth! Annual migration from their autumn/winter feeding grounds to their cooler summer aestivation sites is in full swing. Although officially a night-flying moth, ATM, they're very active during the day. These are feeding on Coastal Tea-tree.

Seems a simplistic analysis if Aust considered in isolation. Biggest env cost in terms of water, land use & clearing is Ag. Mostly grazing, cropping, overwhelmingly for export. Not related to local population at all. 68% water use 57% land use 12.4% exports 2.2% GDP Via ABARES
