August was the hottest month in global history and yet, NSW has just approved the biggest coal mine expansion ever proposed in the state. It is scandalous that Australia is leading negotiations at global climate talks, including in the Pacific next week.

Solidarity with Qantas workers across the country striking for fair pay and safer conditions. This industrial action is a brave stand against the corporate greed that gives workers unsafe conditions, travellers worse service, and Qantas higher profits.

My heart breaks for the families and loved ones grieving after four family & domestic violence-related deaths in NSW over the weekend, including the death of a child. There is no shortage of evidence on what works to halt this. There is a shortage of government action.

It seems these universities are taking their cue from the Prime Minister and prioritising global tech giants over their own communities. The community is rightly worried about techno-fascist destruction of the environment, uncontrolled corporate power, and the social consequences of AI.
