Because they're assuming from the jump that all Diaspora Jews are inherently fucked and deserve what's coming to them, and as long as the antisemitic right wing authoritarian governments keep militarily supporting Israel nothing else matters.

I've said for a while that, rather than actually fight antisemitic stereotypes of Jews as rootless cosmopolitan urbanites, Israeli politics just imbibes them and redirects them against the Diaspora, but then this guy just comes right out and says it.

I appreciate the judge saying this but it is again, a problem with the courts that every different federal judge has to discover on their own through experience that the government hates law and doesn't care about following it. When the median citizen at this point knows it

That doesn't change the fact that the poster above was asserting something that is plainly false with 100% confidence, we are not shifting goal posts that easily.

We are not shifting the goal posts to Financials before you answer the question on where you are getting this assertion that she's not campaigning at all. Because you very confidently stated something that is factually wrong and we're not moving on with that unadressed.

Tribes deserve more than recognition - they deserve respect, a voice in decisions that affect them, & freedom to shape their futures. Today, we honor Indigenous peoples who shaped this country long before America & continue to shape its future. This commitment matters every day, not just today.

there's this weird dynamic where the politically engaged people on both sides just fail to recognize that Trump had a conman's charisma. it doesn't work on any of us because we're not his marks, but he really did have it (not sure it's holding up to pudding brain) and Paxton does NOT.

It includes accounts of right-wing politicians seeing far more threats and more menacing threats after breaking with Trump but avoids conclusions. As usual reader comments try to correct the record, cut through the waffling.
Rodric Bray, the Republican leader of the Indiana Senate, drew critics, but rarely threats, after he became a well-known power broker in Indianapolis — until his chamber bucked Mr. Trump’s push to eliminate the state’s two remaining Democratic congressional districts.

Amid headline after headline about the intraparty disagreement, threats of violence overwhelmed the staid political atmosphere of the Indiana Statehouse. Mr. Bray became the main target.

In 1919, Germany's defeated soldiers came home only to be stabbed in the back by socialists and communists who wanted to burn the nation down and install a Soviet-style dictatorship.
The Freikorps rose from the disbanded Imperial ranks and smashed that red revolution before it could finish the job.
A century later the same poison is back—now joined by something even more alien.
Far-left radicals still despise their own people and culture, while Islamists answer only to Allah, reject every core of German and Western civilization, refuse to assimilate, and carry out violence in the open name of their religion.
Germany will not be saved by tolerance, dialogue, or more empty promises.
It needs a modern Freikorps-men who put the homeland first and are prepared to stop both the leftist traitors and the Islamist invaders at whatever cost.
