In Greek mythology, the Trojan War is considered the end of the Age of Heroes. In some versions, it was purposefully instigated by Zeus because he was worried that all these demigods could be a threat to the gods. Thus, Zeus caused a war to make them slaughter each other. 🎨Peter Rubens #FolkyFriday

During the first week of January in Ilulissat, Greenland, the perpetually dark streets come alive with horror. Distorted human figures linger in the shadows, waiting for unsuspecting citizens. But no one is in any real danger. The annual tradition of Mitaarfik #FolkyFriday 🧵
A group of people in elaborate, theatrical costumes stands together against a dark, star-filled background. The outfits include fur-lined parkas, animal-like suits, hooded figures, skull masks, and layered winter clothing, with faces mostly hidden by masks or hoods. Colored stage lighting casts green, red, and blue highlights across the figures, creating a surreal, ritual-like atmosphere as they cluster closely in the center of the image.
