Have you found yourself in the position of having a Reform councillor?

Here’s how you can help your brand new councillor settle into local government properly: email them this week with an actual council problem to solve.

Got rubbish piling up? Email them.

Bus vanished from existence? Email them.

Streetlights dead? Email them.

Care package delayed? Email them.

Pavement like the Somme? Email them.

Send them in by the hundred. Make sure they’re made very clear on what their job is.

Being a councillor is not standing in front of the Union flag shouting about dinghies on GB News. It’s reading committee papers at midnight, attending meetings nobody enjoys, holding surgeries in church halls, and dealing with the endlessly glamorous world of drains, social care budgets and recycling disputes.

Welcome to local government.

The boats are in Kent. The bins are in your ward.

The email address for your ward councillor can be found on your local council website as soon as it’s updated.

Feel free to copy and paste to share wider.

It is scary that an anti racist march can overrun our capital with with 2 - 3x as people as the Unite the Kingdom nonsense, but a fraction of the news coverage. There is a war going on now and that is a big story, true. But there was a war going on then too. Do they need to piss on some monuments?

The only thing I legit miss about being on Twitter is being able to run poll-your-own-adventures. Someone reminded me about my sky-pirates one earlier. Some samples from it. So much fun to write. Still my favourite character introduction I've ever written.
tweet that reads: ...and catch yourself.

19,000ft. There's time. Best investigate first.

"Let's go, Trelawny" you say, and head to the cargo hold. The door is indeed down and there's some kind of hook lodged in it.

The hook is attached to a rope. Dangling on the end is... a person.

They wave.

two voting options are:

Pull them in
Wave back

65% have voted for wave back. You wave back. The wind claws at you and the person dangling out there, but that's no reason not to be polite.

They look up at you. Gripping the rope 'tween their thighs they do a reeling motion with their hands. It makes them slip down the line.

"18,000ft" Says Rutger/Trelawny

options are:

Do the locomotion too!
Pull them up

70% have voted for pull them upBracing yourself against the bulkhead you pull... her... up.

Her hair is sensibly tied. Her eyes do not sparkle. Her legs go up to her hips like normal and her breasts are not visible. It's very unlike the books you read.

She throat-punches you.

"That's for waving, arsehole!"

options are:

gakkk
hngffff

gakkk has won with 60% of the vote*gakkk* you splutter, as your vision blurs. If it wasn't for the howling wind you'd probably pass out.

"15,000ft" Intones Rutger/Trelawny, looking at you curiously.

"Sorry," the mysterious stranger says. "But you deserved that."

You manage to gasp out a question:

"Who are you?!"

"Pelaphine von Störtebeker," she replies, as she removes her gloves.

You realise that she's wearing some kind of uniform, although it's seen better days. Unlike the knife-pistols on her belt which look lethally well maintained.

Most Hooklanders know the phrase 'to be tulled' - meaning to be caught between two worlds and at home in neither of them. It's usually used for people, I'm certainly one of the tulled folk, but it can also used for certain places. – Jeff Loden #VOH
A black and white photograph shows an achingly high stone spire of a church is reflected in the slow flowing water of a nearby river. The fluid mirror, capturing clouds, trees and the feral plant life of the bank, feels less like an echo and more like another world.

Friday the 13th: Fear, Foklore, and Liminality
Friday the 13th often stirs superstitions, but for Druids, it can offer a moment to reflect on liminality, folklore, and the stories we choose to carry. Thirteen isn’t unlucky: it’s part of nature’s rhythm.

Whose Druidry Is It Anyway?
Modern Druidry is often called Welsh - but that’s only part of the story. This piece explores how both English antiquarians and Welsh revivalists helped create the living tradition we walk today, drawing on shared Brythonic roots beneath modern identities.

A whimsical illustration of a small animal, possibly a rabbit or mouse, standing upright. It wears a leafy green cloak and a medieval-style helmet, holding a spear topped with a tiny black teapot. A book is strapped to its side. The top text reads, “born to dilly dally,” and the bottom text reads, “forced to fight fascists.” The image combines a gentle, storybook style with a bold political message.

Suggested plan for non-right UK parties: 1: Try making decisions / polices based on what is ‘morally right’ NOT what advisors say might win votes at the next election 2: Don’t be cunts. You won’t out-cunt Reform/Tories. Cunt voters won’t believe you and you will lose non-cunt voter trust.

The love of all existences. 🏳️‍⚧️/|\ #TamesisGrove #druidry #UrbanDruidry #DruidLife #DruidSky
Trans flag gradient background with the text:
Today is an important day to re-affirm that Tamesis welcomes and affirms the sacredness of our trans, genderqueer and non-binary members.
Tamesis stands in a circle of fellowship, inclusion and equity: both in our grove and in the wider world. It is not a space where we will debate the existence or human rights of any person, especially not people who are marginalised in society.
If your druidry does not include "the love of all existences", then it is not a druidry that will find a comfortable home in Tamesis.
