At the start of Luminhaven Chronicles #1, Auri lives in Ardyl, a small town in Scaunia, where her family runs a tea shop. She's bored to tears with everything about Ardyl except for its naturally occurring windpool, which is her happy place. She can't wait to escape to Luminhaven. #FirstDraftFall

I was watching some older TV shows like Murder She Wrote and realized we've lost a lot of that "cozy, lived in" vibe in modern TV shows. Everything looks like an HGTV show home instead of grandma's cozy pad with shit from all her adventures

Akseli huffed. “I want to know as soon as possible,” he told him, not hiding his worry well.
Oatmeal laughed, so low it was hard to even hear it. “Waiting doesn't make you know sooner. You won’t get in.”
Akseli could feel himself turning red, but he tried to hide how scared he was. “You don’t know that.”
Akseli was pretty sure he did know though.
