I’ve decided I really like the Ocarina of Time remake art style. It evokes a feeling of pure fairy tale fantasy and whimsy. Kind of glad we didn’t get another faux Ghibli art style like BotW and TotK. Also super relieved Nintendo didn’t go the grim-dark route like Twilight Princess either. #zelda

It’s honestly amazing how effective simple dithering can be at tricking the brain into perceiving more detail than what’s actually there. Zoom in and it’s just random red, green, blue, black, and white pixels. Zoom out and holy sheet it’s a darn photo!

Lots of GC ports were very shitty compared to the PS2 version. Not for horsepower reasons but because developers were less willing to put the work in because the GC wasn’t as popular as the PS2. The Xbox was powerful enough to brute force good performance despite a lazy port, the GC not so much.

This looks so great! I noticed Grandia is on the “maybe” list. Could you consider pulling the assets of the original Saturn version of the game instead of the PS1 port. Due hardware limitations, some the textures were significantly altered and compromised when GameArts ported it to the PS1.
