Unfortunately, I disagree extremely hard on this one. The whole point is that Jon is a bad candidate to bear the ring initially, but once he rejects the cycle of inflicted pain, he becomes someone worthy.
Partially as someone who struggles with depression, I thought he was a perfect superhero.
