I got my first formal review on my completed book! “The Cathedral of Portals left me feeling dizzy, deeply touched, and trying to put feelings into words of how many thoughts are inside this book that I want to hold onto…. I deeply enjoyed this book and will probably digest it for months to come.”

LET US BE CLEAR: Putting money under Free Parking and collecting it is NOT LEGAL ACCORDING TO OFFICIAL MONOPOLY RULES. Every dollar put under Free Parking is senseless and wait what do you mean if enough players agree something should happen it doesn't fucking matter what the rules say?
If Trump runs for a third term unopposed by the GOP, his Democratic opponent AUTOMATICALLY WINS. Every vote cast for him is thrown in the trash because every vote cast for him was cast for an ineligible candidate.

This is Google AI's summary of my upcoming book The Cathedral of Portals. Since I only announced it this week, there are only three sources of data that have anything to say AT ALL about the book. Google AI looked at the books I USED TO WRITE and GUESSED what this one is about. And it's wrong.
The Cathedral of Portals... blends urban fantasy and litRPG-adjacent tropes. It follows characters navigating through a series of magical worlds and intricate gate-networks.

I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in his stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Counciler or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate, who is more devoted to 'order' than to justice; who prefers a negative peace which is the absence of tension to a positive peace which is the presence of justice

There's two Internet problems here, intersecting: 1) Fandom has eroded the idea of a "mid" movie, videogame, whatever - if it doesn't live up to expectations, then it must be a spectacle of a disaster. 2) If something's a disaster, that's a personal insult inflicted on the loyal, wonderful fans

Ah, yes, an extremely normal thing to do to a known billionaire sex trafficker who you were not close with, sending him pictures of your diabetes medication
I want to start by directly addressing the email thread I've been asked about the most: In June 2015, I sent Epstein an email with the subject line "Got a fresh shipment." The email contained a photo of bottles of Metformin, a medication I had just received from the pharmacy for my use. The subject line referred to the picture of the bottles of medication.

"I'm sorry I did not realize that showing up at a meeting with an active COVID diagnosis and no mask was Not Cool, man. But who knows, maybe it wasn't against the law!" file770.com/covid-concer...
I’m not sure this was a CoC violation. However, there is a separate Health Policy (https://seattlein2025.org/about/health/) that I had not read in advance. The Health Policy says that, even if you do not feel sick, as I did not, if you have tested positive for Covid, “please do not attend the Seattle Worldcon 2025”. But I don’t think it matters whether this policy was in the CoC or Health Policy. It is my fault
for not reading the Health Policy in advance or otherwise realizing the error in what I did.

We can DISCOVER a lot about how Universal Basic Income would make people's lives better. But considering how many times we've done these trial tests before, to pretty much the same positive results, we apparently can LEARN nothing.

A Xitter post:

Releasing the names of individuals compromised by Epstein would utterly destroy America in concrete ways that most families who are not wealth would not be able to endure. To ask for the names is for America to become a failed state... The average American is willing to make this sacrifice. (So am I.) The Trump administration has decided that it is not worth it. We are in a situation where America's very survival rests on the foundation of absolute secrecy about crimes involving the horrific abuse of children. I'm sorry.
