Interesting this because I think YouGov were the last pollsters to show a Reform lead, as recently as last week?

Also, more and more reports are confirming what should have been admitted for years. The Trump administration has business deals ready to go with Putin, once they can bully the Ukrainians into surrendering more of their land and people. This is the real Trump/Kushner win-win.

Historic England outsourced their digital image provision to a third-party company. Then the company went bust and now all their images are inaccessible. Tell me again how outsourcing to the private sector is sustainable?

Welcome to Euston, 'Gateway to the North', hot, crowded, dark and when there's a DMU idling, full of fumes. Architecturally speaking I don't dislike it anymore, but as a passenger terminus it's not fit for purpose.

New 'Bruges Beer Garden', just off Wollestraat. Run by Bourgogne des Flandres w/similar beer list to their nearby brewery tap. Summer only though it may return for Xmas market. They've spent some money on creating a really lovely outdoor space.

Another outstanding visit to Bij Koen & Marijke (formerly In 't Nieuw Museum), Brugge. Yea definitely not cheap but food's fantastic & beer range amazing. Seriously great beers tonight from Dochter van de Korenaar & Brambrass/Gistgeest, the latter an incredible 12% ABV rum BA imperial stout. Cheers!
A glass on left, bottle on right of dark imperial stout aged on rum barrel. A glass (L) and bottle (R) of amber coloured bock beer. A glass (L) and bottle (R) of amber coloured beer. Just 3% ABV but tastes amazing. Exterior of Bij Koen & Marijke, a restaurant in Brugge. The sky is totally clear blue.

In politics, we’re torn between ideals and practicalities, aspirations and realities, the world as we want it, and as we find it But one day a manifesto comes along that reconciles both in every pledge. A rare moment of clarity and hope

With Humphrey Smith dead, it would be interesting if the Guardian now published a version of this that hasn't been lawyered to within an inch of its life for their own safety. And the planning committee for Tadcaster will hopefully find they're a lot less busy wth stupid, and expensive, arguments.
