This work could not have been completed without the help of wundergrad Ryan Wang, who led all the work on PPO annotation curation and analysis, and the inimitable @bernardkim.bsky.social, who built the most comprehensive Drosophilidae species phylogeny to date for this study (406 species)!

Our latest work now on bioRxiv! We found evidence for multiple independent HGTs of the anti-parasitoid effector cdtB in drosophilids, including anciently in the last common ancestor of subgenus Drosophila 👀 You can browse our data here: trnpl.github.io/antiparasito...
