This. This is important. They’re hoping fear will hold us back because they don’t have the numbers. But it will make us stronger. It will bring people out.

longer required physical activity. Without exercise,
our muscles atrophy.
I predict we'll need gyms for our brains too, once Al
starts doing our knowledge work.

Look, this is bad. Yes. But the Trump admin sent six (6) people to Maricopa and Pima. Where, by my count, there are 404 polling places, spread across 18,000 square miles (each county is ~9k sq mi). What they want is the FEAR to discourage the voting they can't actually prevent.

It's almost like putting a quack anti-vaccine conspiracy theorist in charge of the nation's health policy has consequences. "The United States has now had more measles deaths in the past two years than we have had in the previous three decades combined...": www.ms.now/news/pennsyl...

Pennsylvania’s measles outbreak is the largest in decades in the U.S.
The state has surpassed 1,000 measles cases this year, health officials said Monday, making it the largest outbreak in the U.S. in more than three decades.

This is your occasional reminder that generative "AI" in particular could have been developed on public domain materials and/or licensed and compensated works but the major players intentionally, methodically and systemically chose to steal labor from working creative folks instead

If Democrats want to regain working people, they must disavow Big Money. They must hammer economic populism — and have a laser focus on the cost of living crisis in America. There’s no way the party can speak for or represent the working class in America if it's beholden to corporate interests.

I don't think getting rid of the frats stops all SA but it would certainly destroy a very visible mechanism of power imbalances, which has great ripple effects beyond school. So, yeah, abolish the Greek system it's fucking weird.

Jason and his wife transcend the idea of vintage imo, and this store is going to be the finest of its kind in LA. It's one thing to have inventory, but combined they have decades of knowledge that is second to none. I've stopped by a few of their sales and the encyclopedic brains they have, amazing

I think we lucked out a bit here in that a lot of what Trump does falls into the bucket of “so jaw-droppingly vulgar or corrupt that it’s not technically illegal because it was inconceivable that someone would attempt it.” Like why restaurants rarely post “no defecating on the tables” signs.

Russ Vought just sent a rescissions request to Congress, signaling he intends to illegally impound funds. The $810 million highlighted in this “request” (but this is a pretext to just illegally impound the funds) is not the exhaustive list of many billions of dollars he’s impounding this year.

The debate over iced coffee is ultimately one about taste - if someone brings a respectable cortado or espresso, no interviewer will bat an eye. But iced coffee is watered down shit that leaves rings on desks and is a sign of someone who cares not about what they're drinking, someone with no taste.
