You know when public attention can reverse a prosecutorial decision like this you almost get the sense that the decision to shrug it off in the first place was not based on an assessment of the quality of the evidence so much as an assessment of the seriousness of the crime.

Govt intervened way too early in the Air Canada strike, and it's caused chaos. If the strike had been allowed to play out for days, pressure increases on both employer and union to bargain. Instead, AC ran to govt to put their thumb on the scale, and now the natural balance is skewed

Something particularly gross about a white man telling a woman her experiences and perception of safety and danger aren’t real. Yes the limitations to City Hall access are problematic but help society tackle the real issues - violence, misogyny - rather than blaming politicians trying to stay safe.
