People are eating weeds in Oleshky because there is almost nothing else left to eat. There is no electricity, water or gas. Some people eat only once a day. Leaving means facing mined roads, with no agreed humanitarian corridor. Around 6000 people remain there. At least 200 of them are children.

If the administration caves to Xi's demands, it has no right to ask why Taiwan is hostile toward the US or why it resists defense modernization. In fact, almost all hostility in Taiwan toward the US today stems from viewing the US as an undesirable partner.
