Wandered yesterday's Taste of Wellington event with Natalie - what a perfect day for it! It was a joy to see everyone. I had a chance to say hi to Kai Hussey whose art Joanne Chianello has used for her campaign: he was barely a tweener when I met him on my first campaign and has done so well!

I have for years voted against establishing an arbitrary tax cap that doesn't account for what the city actually needs. When I'm Mayor, we'll build a budget process that works for the residents of Ottawa.

I’m deeply disturbed to hear about the alleged threats against Mark Sutcliffe. My thoughts are with Mark and his family, as well as Doug Ford and his. I am glad the Crown and OPS are taking this seriously and have charged Geoffrey Griplas for his appalling threats. Violence has no place in politics.
