If you’re plugging/unplugging it regularly, please be aware the power cable locks in and has to be turned to unlock before unplugging it. A studio I engineer at had to get one fixed because someone didn’t know that and broke the port unplugging it. 🫠

I'm studying biotech and every time someone brings up mushrooms our current professeor will look either extremely excited or pained and go, "listen, mushrooms are neither plants nor animals nor something inbetween. We do not know what they are. Some are immortal. Some produce life-saving substances some are so closely related to humans that eating them may cause an allergic reaction against your own body. I cannot teach you about the mushrooms.

Ed was in a fucked up position. He knew it. His typical apolitical stance was being challenged in a way it never had been before. He told me that the words
"Free Palestine" and the image of the Palestinian flag were hurtful to a lot of people he spoke with. I told him that if those words were more offensive than tens of thousands of Palestinian children being killed by Israel, then there was a fundamental disconnect between where those people stood and where I stood. But he couldn't get past his public facing, "I don't take sides."

...For example, in S1E2 of Kobayashi, Tohru explains that she doesn't go to the supermarket because it looks like a white castle. There's a pun in the Japanese that is basically impossible to convey. "Shiro" is the Japanese word for both "white" and "castle," just with different inflections...
