Please try to reclaim your precious precious attention, at all costs. Do puzzles. Take walks without a phone. Dear god, try to read, almost anything that isn’t a manifesto will really do. You are going to need your brain.

Don’t forget, this is how the Kennedy center dismantling started. The folks at your institution doing equity work might be the first targeted, but the institutions themselves are always the target. Hope folks have learned this now.

The one thing that bothers me the most now is people recording entire segments of a concert on their phone and if you are behind them you see a sea of phones recording a show. Like I understand getting a 15 second clip but put your damn phones away! It’s a concert.

It is a sign of the total failure of our constitutional order that, a mere six years after we were all desperately praying for a miraculous scientific breakthrough to end the worst global pandemic in a century, that the President of the United States can do what he did today & face no consequences.

these idiot adult converts are going to drive me back into the extremely questionable arms of the church
A tweet from Christopher Hale:

UPDATE: Letters from Leo can now independently confirm that the meeting took place — and that the Vatican was so alarmed by the Pentagon’s tactics that Pope Leo XIV shelved plans to visit the United States later this year.

Many in the Vatican saw the Pentagon’s reference to an Avignon papacy as a threat to use military force against the Holy See.

The depth of the shame of a country this wealthy and abundant allowing its people to go hungry is impossible to measure. The fact that a handful of people could fix this by paying their fair share of taxes while still remaining obscenely wealthy makes it even worse.
