This is simply untenable. There is no way forward with media and political classes captured by the right. Every time someone commits a crime you have to pray it's not an undesirable or it's purge time, then when it turns out to be themselves again they just shrug and wait for the next one.

Zachariah "Zach" Qureshi, 25, an MBA student, was standing about 25 feet away when Charlie Kirk was shot. He was later held for questioning before being released by the FBI, his mother, Juliette Qureshi, told The Washington Post.
She said it wasn't clear why the FBI questioned her son.
"He'd attended a Turning Point event before and was there to hear Charlie speak," Qureshi said.
"He was devastated for his family. He didn't have anything to tell the FBI that everyone there on the ground didn't also see.
