Even without getting this deep in the weeds, their whole model works by taking incredibly low probabilities with uncertain error bars and multiplying by infinity whenever they feel like it. Even if they applied Bayes correctly, their baseline assumptions are just unsupportable

#nzpol Time for some context. NACT will squawk about over $11bn of interest being payable, but after interest income the net payable is $5bn or 1.1% of GDP based on estimated GDP of $470bn to June 2027. This is *checks notes* BELOW the Eurozone, Japan and just a QUARTER of the US interest bill.

This is quite cool. My university is the first organisation in the world to force Microsoft to allow us to turn off copilot summaries in Word 365, after a backlash against it from staff (including, very vocally, me). That cannot have been easy for our heroic IT people so hats very much off to them!
