Sad to lose George Fenton. Some great soundtracks. This section, albeit brief, from The Company of Wolves, shows the power of music in film.

I have said before and will again: any electoral reform commission must NOT rule out a change of system BEFORE the next election if needed. We cannot risk a minority vote handing a huge majority to any party that would take a shredder to democracy itself.

I mean, limiting the increase to around 2% is nice, but rents also need to HALVE as fast as possible. Anything short of massive rent controls isn't going to solve the nationwide problem. Previous landlord told my retired parents their rent was going up by £450 / mth. Then it went up again.

Here's a handy guide. If the media are saying a politician is doing socialism, they're not doing socialism. If a politician is doing socialism, the media is telling you they're doing islamic terrorism, destroying western civilization, turning your kids gay and in league with china.

The film is written, directed, and co-stars Hitoshi Ozawa, a legendary Yakuza actor who is a villain in Yakuza 0, who got his fellow legends involved. This was his passion project inspired by one of his best friends, a trans woman, and he worked with the community for representative casting.

As the Childe’s birthday party wound down this weekend, a group of adults were talking about homeowner nonsense & Childe calmly deadpans: “When you think about it we’re all homes.” Adults: “Wh…at?” *8-year-old waves their arms in the air excitedly & yells: “TO BACTERIA AND PARASITES!”

Along with delaying announcing the decision on oil fields and Heathrow expansion etc because he knows it'll be unpopular, this stalling is becoming a weaselly trend. Proportional representation now, now, today, right now. Not after 2029, FFS.
