Beyond the fact that it’s incredibly illegal and corrupt to use taxpayer dollars to run political ads on television, there’s another problem with re-running old ads like this: the messaging only reminds everyone what a fraud you are.

The problem with seeing AI as an end and not a tool is you completely miss how it fundamentally layers into the way our economy/society is already structured. We don’t have the incentives to use AI for increasing factory productivity. We do for extracting maximum profits out of services.

AI is killing the billable hour. Charging clients for “hours” of research and document drafting that obviously took far less time with AI is unsustainable. It’ll be interesting to see which professions can successfully move to flat rates or outcome-based billing without losing revenue.
