It's more than speed. This points out a very large flaw in Constitutional Separation of Powers: The Executive is responsible for enforcing laws and court decisions. The Constitution never contemplated this level of graft and treason combined with a Congress complicit in the crimes.

E-May has truly brought a mixed legacy to Canadian politics. She's been an incredible MP who's been vigilant on various pieces of Trojan Horse legislation, and she's also hollowed out the institutions of the Green Party such that a once-rising movement has become an empty husk.

I finished playing through Final Fantasy X. It's not my favourite Final Fantasy game and the pacing crawled at times, but it was striking enough to reaffirm my opinion that 2001 was truly a groundbreaking year in the history of video games. It has glorious animations and a rich thematic story.

Pondering whether I support both legal outcomes in Cycle Toronto v Ontario. As in, the government's evidence at trial was SO BAD they deserved to lose but also the Court of Appeal's decision correctly leaves this matter in the hands of the legislature (and through it, voters.)

I actually think that it is good in principle for nomination contests to favour long-time members over new entrants; Canadian parties as they are tend to be quite unrewarding to loyal members. But the Beaches East-York nomination meeting abruptly being called on such short notice is dubious.

Great thread, and consistent with my own pessimistic view that a lot of what Trump is doing will be pretty sticky, in that future presidents won't want to unilaterally give up from the prerogatives he has acquired for the office. That said, I also think other states will discipline US overreach.
