Intelligence must draw on memory. The mind must not simply compile data — as an algorithm now does more quickly than we can — but recall lived experiences, which contain depths of meaning that only the human soul can recognize, and connect more deeply with the goodness of these experiences. Everything that is good begins "with the Spirit" and thus possesses a breath, a dynamism and a sense of communion that, once experienced, are engraved upon the heart.

For various reasons Trump is not actually a dictator but he behaves exactly as if he were one. There's always the stage where they can't accept any dissent so they bury themselves in toadies and propaganda and become genuinely detached from reality. It never ends well

Crazy Rupert Lowe has a new angle. Ban folic acid in flour. Follows a mandate that all non-wholemeal wheat flour must be fortified with synthetic folic acid (vitamin B9) by the end of December 2026 to prevent upward of 200 neural tube birth defects including spina bifida and anencephaly each year
The official petition to end the mandatory
fortification of white flour with folic acid
has just hit 100k.

Great news.

It helps me take the fight to the
