Uses opentype ligatures to switch up side-by-side duplicate characters. Vowels have 4 alternates! Alts can also be picked manually, for variety.

Displaying this feature is a speech balloon that reads "Thiiisss iiisss hooow slowwlllyy I caaaaan taaallkk" and 4 "urgh!"s with different alternate letters.

Good for sound effects (Maybe even better than for dialogue…). Demonstrating this are stylized sound effects that reads "Splat", "Aaaiiieeee!!!", and "drip drip".

Jan is one of the best, and even better--the courage to tell clients to their faces in-person that they owe us better! Manga and light novels are some of the worst paid gigs, and sometimes it takes us 2 months to even get paid.

A page from the second volume of Magical Girl Dandelion, where Shade is throwing Dandelion into the fiend they are fighting. Of particular note is how the sound effects are written on the panel, all square and angular and such. The text also flows nicely with the magical effects, too.

Neo Faust is now available in English! This is the fourth Osamu Tezuka book that I got to letter with Ablaze, one of his last series that he was still working on when he passed away. It's a really cool book, and I've got a threads of stuff about the lettering below:

Some people say this doesn't work, but the "shoelace" effect PS has with their brushes always gets fixed once I turn off smoothing. Might be worth a try if you haven't already.
