Literally ALL the ND kids I know (my kid and her friends) HATE AI. Like, vehemently. To the point they get a bit violent about it. I have to talk them off a judgement ledge constantly. I am proud of them, and it's a learning opportunity about understanding/empathy.

Hi. It's me. My personal style is generally "comfortable", which has sort of accidently turned into frumpy. My new goal is look good, but try not to wear a bra. I have never known how to do makeup and all attempts are legitimately clownish.

I know there are moral arguments to be made about the death penalty but I think the practical ones are stronger. It doesn’t work as a deterrent and is torture. If you have a torture system as punishment, you cannot have a functioning society.

shutting down frat houses won't end rape culture, but it will disorganize a lot of rapists, and i think that's probably worth doing if only to destabilize what is apparently an ecology of organizations that functionally exist to rape women per the whole "purpose of a system is what it does" insight.

The deluge of emotion that happened when YEARS later I realized I was assaulted by a partner, because when at the time I told my best friend what happened, their response was basically "well he's your boyfriend, so that's how it is" basically made me close that whole experience off.

One of the shittiest things about intimate partner violence is that sometimes in the moment, you truly don't fully understand it is happening. You are confused, or ill informed, and it's not until much later that it becomes clear. And then you feel like it's too late to do something.
