Remember when a DVD was £20!? I think about it sometimes and go 😱. I wanted a DVD player so much when I was 16 coz director's commentaries sounded like the most incredible thing on earth. This was before podcasts, Youtube. My parents got me one as a joint xmas/bday gift and I was in heaven.

Ah, good old clomipramine. It made everything blurry and I had double vision and couldn't think properly. I vaguely remember going into WHSmiths and buying 3 copies of the same NME magazine (for a Depeche Mode feature) because I decided I needed a copy for each eye. 😊

I've had stomach problems since I was born - something fairly common with autistic people. Some days are bad enough that I'm stuck on the floor and can't move. Hospitals can't do anything & I'm sure as hell not having a tube down my neck. My GP kindly stuck me on antidepressants which made it worse.

“If you’re really that sick you should be in the hospital” Please stop saying this to chronically ill people. If we went to the hospital every time we suffered, we would live there. Hospitals can’t help us and they often make us worse. We are on our own, and being subtly gaslit doesn’t help.
