I like seeing the dev of the SNES core on the Pocket actually telling one of these dudes off. Holy shit.

If it works, that's pretty cool; I didn't think
would ever see this implemented (I also didn't
expect LLMs to exist).
However, this is not something you can PR
here, or anywhere. You sent me a nearly 50k
line diff, unasked for, completely LLM built, and
you somehow expect me to review it. There is
SO MUCH unrelated garbage here. Never
minding all of the docs and Python, you've
somehow touched basically all of the upstream
HDL, which already had MSU1 support, so idk
what in the world you're doing.
This kind of behavior is not acceptable. You are
infringing on the time and brainpower of people
by pushing "your" content that little/no of your
brainpower went into; completely unrequested.
I hope for the sake of all responsible
maintainers that you do not do such a thing
again.
Again, I think it's cool that you and your LLM
supposedly got this to work. It has no place in
my world.

I'm sharing this as a mea culpa, because it turns out this game was coded with Claude, a fact that is reasonably difficult to track down for a piece that was intended as nothing more than a quick, fun "hey look at this" kind of thing.

October 5 2000, Ogre Battle 64: Person of Lordly Caliber debuted on the N64 in the Americas! Well respected Japanese dark fantasy artist Toshiaki Kato was commissioned to create the key character art used both on the cover of the Japanese release and the in game character portraits!

“how do we win back trump voters in 2026” we don’t. we create an environment where admitting to voting for trump is so socially embarrassing as to render them completely inert. you don’t “win back” trump voters. you demoralize them into staying home. you make it a dunce cap

We had a good thing, you son of a bitch! We had an emulator. We had ISOs. We had PSSPP on PC + Phone and it all ran like clockwork. You could’ve shut your mouth, and gotten as much social clout as you ever needed. It was perfect. But no, you just had to blow it up. You and your Claude and your Slop!

Genuinely do not trust any decomp/recomp project until it's verified that the team behind it is very anti-AI, every single one of them is a scam because we're currently in the AI dipshit backpat gold rush of every moron dropping hundreds to get credit as the first to make a shitty emulator.

I never watched gurren lagann, but one night, half asleep, I caught this bit on toonami. Despite having 0 context for it, this small bit has always stuck with me. As I'm scrolling, half asleep, seeing it parodied. I am struck with the same swelling emotions. While also being amazingly hilarious.

we nearly lost VitaDB and Rinnegatamante's involvement to the scene altogether because of these guys. Which is significant because that guy is pretty much carrying the community on his back. They harassed him to the pointof shutting Down VitaDB when he restricted AI submissions.

Something deep inside me told me I should draw Donkey Kong today.

A four panel comic titled "Hours, Bananas, Doors."
Donkey Kong awakens staring at himself in a mirror, then stares down at his hand as he notices a strange watch on his wrist.
Staring at his wrist, the watch turns out to be one of the numbered bracelets from 9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors from the Zero Escape series. It's Junpei's bracelet. For some reason.
Peach then asks a confused Donkey Kong, "Donkey Kong? Have you ever heard of the Parallel Banana Theory?"

Not to get political on main, but I hate... no, I absolutely loathe gambling, I abhor it! I despise this predatory industry, what it does to people, how it targets vulnerable people, and how it worms its way into everything. If I ever got into power, I'd criminalise these companies.

Reminder that the ad company that owns the Tilly Norwood brand is spending a lot of $$$ trying to get Hollywood to take it seriously with disingenuous questions like this. No "What are the ethics of you taking a job away from an actual actress?" We are not taking the bait. An ad disguised as news.
