I made Cauliflower Au Poivre and it was so good. I did not take a picture, but it was very ugly. Ugly but delicious. My kiddo ate 1/2 a head of cauliflower.

My kiddo’s class is reading Fish in a Tree, and last night she told me about it. She said “the girl in the book gets letters and words all mixed up like me. And the letters move around for her. And she tries to say stuff but the wrong words come out. Just like me!”

I’ve learned that I can trick my granddaughter into eating almost anything I cook now if I tell her it’s “medieval” or “renaissance.” We’re having the same beef stew I alway make, which she does not like because it’s not noodles. But tonight I told her it’s medieval stew and she asked for seconds.

Some of my coworkers and I were talking about tv shows I recommended Widow’s Bay and someone else recommended Reacher. I said I don’t think it’s really my thing and she said “It’s an autistic guy with muscles. It’s the most your thing.” So anyway I’m on season 3.

Went to Knott’s Berry Farm, saw people getting out of their cars to fight over parking spots. Immediately left & took my kiddo to the movies instead. We saw Minions & Monsters and the “sly” adult humor in it is not very sly. There were a couple scenes that made my granddaughter go “Hey! Yo, what?”

There is a woman at work who, when she is sick, coughs all over everything and doesn’t cover her mouth. I already wear a mask (even in the clean room these days). I went to management and asked them to address it. She’s contaminating parts and spreading a virus. ⬇️

I survived 5 hours of Soak City (with my granddaughter) today. Surprisingly their fish and chips were decent. My gd’s hamburger did not have “the magic,” she said. I’m now in the bath at home soaking off other people’s butt water & asking the universe to let my sunscreen barrier protect me.

The funniest part of my morning is my dog trying to husky wail at me, and when I say, “shush it’s too early,” she does one last quiet one like a teenager getting in the last word. Then my cat starts in and meeeoooww-wow-wows at me which is quieter but 💯 trying to copy my dogs noise.
