a few more appearances and this restriction probably won't be an issue anymore
In a video posted to his social media accounts on Tuesday, Hughes said was no longer able to speak at such events after a report to the Victorian Electoral Commission (VEC).

“Apparently because of what I would normally charge, that’s above the donation limit,” he said.

The guys on the “other side” of climate change are science deniers. On voting rights, racists. On vaccines, cranks. They’re deeply invested in bad faith arguments, not something you can go to lunch over.

Once again - the problem isn't "ooo AI models are too scary and powerful". It's that the developers of these products are irresponsible dolts, who have absolutely no intention of changing how they behave. Stop making excuses, use existing laws and make them responsible for their own actions.

Opposing military aid to Ukraine is not a ‘non-violent’ position, it is an explicit selection between the two available positions, both violent. You can’t say ‘we oppose Russia’, without then explaining, with what?

If nothing else AI is making clear that there are people all around us for whom writing, art, and music are not communion with another mind, but just - wallpaper. Just pleasant things to look at. They think AI is conscious because they have no actual grasp of what it is to encounter another mind.

We need to stop accepting AI vendors using the word "misalignment". You keep running software you know has unpredictable behaviour, without monitoring or controls, in a way that could harm others. This isn't "agent was misaligned" - it is (possibly criminal) negligence at this point.
