As a matter of logic you cannot be “hard working” if you rely on the state pension. I hope ministers will keep (start?) explaining that the state pension isn’t paid out of an investment fund but by the contributions of those currently working.

My six-year old learned about voting at school today and has drawn up some campaign promises to become Mayor of York. So far 1) the day after your birthday is now a second birthday - more presents, and you get to tell everyone what to do. 2) A machine that makes it rain popcorn.
