If one wonders why "restorative/transformative" justice has a bad reputation for letting abusers avoid consequences while further hurting survivors, it's because that's how it often works in practice. You can say that's not the intent, that they've been co-opted, etc. But it still happens.

Let’s not forget that the precautions we associate with Covid (clean air, PPE like masks) were *lessons* more of us learned in the earlier stages of the pandemic. Lessons that, applied, can protect from many other viral illnesses and create greater access for immunocompromised people.
