Trump doesn’t force people to do bad things. All he did was show people they could get away with being horrible if they really wanted to, and a lot of powerful people decided they didn’t need to pretend anymore. Especially those in influential positions who could push back but did not.

So many of the self-appointed leaders of the American Jewish community have obvious disdain for the fact that the community is what it actually is, and not what they want it to be.
Rabbi Shmuley Boteach saying “This is either a Purim prank or Jews are the dumbest people on earth” to a headline reading: “NEW POLL: Jewish Americans Favor Zohran Mamdani More Than Bibi Netanyahu - by a Whopping 32 Points”

When this regime falls — at the ballot box or in a failed effort to steal an election — the fact that Trump will have appointed 4 out of 9 justices should settle the question of unpacking the Court. There is no virtue in "respecting norms" when it comes to the legacy of an autocratic fascist.

The US finally admitting it lost a war on the same day that we're doing UFC fights on the White House lawn is going a bit too hard on the "late Roman Empire" vibes.

That the NYT still writes this stuff when everyone knows that Musk is full of horseshit (including the reporters at the NYT!) is honestly shocking at this point. They think you're stupid. They know he never does anything he promises but they write it anyway. Utter trash.

The thing that shocks me most is that all of this incriminating stuff was sitting at the DOJ for 4 years and Biden & Garland were not cynical or ruthless enough to use it against Trump & Musk in the run up to 2024. If only they were the evil ‘weaponizers of government’ that MAGA claimed they were!

Microsoft chief Satya Nadella warns Al boom could falter without wider adoptionMicrosoft chief executive Satya Nadella has warned that Al risks becoming a speculative bubble unless its use spreads beyond big tech companies and wealthy economies.
Nadella on Tuesday said that the long-term success of the fast-developing technology would depend on it being used by a broad range of industries as well as on uptake outside of the developed world.
"For this not to be a bubble by definition, it requires that the benefits of this are much more evenly spread," said Nadella. He noted that a "tell-tale sign of if it's a bubble" would be if only tech groups were benefiting from the rise of AI, rather than companies in other sectors.

Would the NYT editorial board run "Did Homosexuals Ruin Culture?" or "Did Black People Get Too Big for Their Britches?" I guess we'll see.
