As one leftist account said, Corbyn's real sin was to treat Muslims and foreigners as human beings, which the Sensibles treated as anti-white and anti-Jewish bigotry.

i know a lot of people really, really want gaza to be a two-sides issue that maps cleanly onto US electoral politics, but it isn't. the mainstream of both parties supports the genocide, because the US as an institution supports the genocide. i know that's uncomfortable but you can't run away from it

My entire life every SINGLE accusation I've heard made against Communist countries (authoritarian, anti-free speech, total control of the media, economically inert, only a few elites get everything) has been: 1) Mostly false but... 2) Absolutely true about capitalist USA. bsky.app/profile/atru...

How is this working out for everyone, by the way? Surely fifteen years of standing behind the Tories, Farage, the Sun and the Mail while they demand our lunch money has done the trick, so there’s no need to keep saying “Yeah, do what he says” or “Do you want me to hold your jacket for you, Nige”.
Our borders are porous. Why can't our politicians admit the problems of immigration?

Democrats are well positioned to inherit power thanks to disgust with Trump, but ultimately none of this is about what Dems did in response to Trump. They mostly capitulated and are benefiting from being the other party in a two party system, I don’t have any positive expectations for them.
