Last month, Elon Musk donated $1.5M in support of Alaska's Ballot Measure 2. And we only know about it because of the law he is seeking to repeal.

Ballot Measure 2 Would Allow Dark Money Back into Alaska’s Elections | Sightline Institute
In addition to ranked choice voting and open primaries, the measure would dismantle many of the state’s campaign finance transparency laws.

MDUs are the new ADUs. "I'm a big fan of ADUs," Kol Peterson told @opb.org. "The reality is people in Portland can't really afford or justify spending $300,000 - 400,000 anymore. It doesn't really pencil from a ROI perspective. Whereas, MDUs do."

The Grocery Cart Divide: How Rural and Urban America Sort Themselves
We hear constantly that rural and urban America have grown apart. The 2024 presidential map made the point in the usual way, a sea of red countryside around dense blue cities, with roughly 90% of counties shifting toward Donald Trump. That divide is real, and it is well documented. What gets less attention is how far down into daily life it reaches.

By the way, if somebody tries to tell you climate change is only a concern of "educated and affluent" liberals, you can show them this map. At least half the people in *every* US state, even the deep red ones, worry about it
Map of the US: Estimated % of adults who are somewhat or very worried about global warming (nat'l avg. 63%), 2025

Every state is at 50% or above. California and bluer states are at higher levels, but zero states are below 50%.
