Took a Divvy e-bike from Jeff Park to Montclare on entirely low-stress side streets including a bit of the Roscoe greenway and while I still need to take a Lyft home because Divvy dies at the city limits, it’s really hard to argue against the utility of the bike grid

So this is nuts; Orange County did an "e-bike buyback" event where they paid people up to $1,000 for illegal e-motos...and smaller amounts for legal, unmodified e-bikes that are super unlikely to hurt anyone. At multiple points, the cops refuse to pay for "bikes" that can go up to 40mph.
