Not a commentary on the permitting reform deal, which I’ve yet to examinenin detail, but I love how it doesn’t quite compute for Matt Yglesias that you can oppose climate hushing and also do substantive energy transition work!

In a rare Newsom W, today he signs AB 2222, the Community NEWS Act, which would establish some of the best tax incentives/rebates for newsrooms in the country. It would send $40M/year back into California newsrooms to keep journalists employed. Check out the presser happening live right now:

OK. Huge baseball fan here, and I've also backpacked the Teton Crest Trail. Building a baseball stadium at a national park is one of the dumbest ideas I've ever heard. It's insane that MLB would ask, and worse that the National Park Service would consider Grand Teton.
