I'm maintaining my experience in editors/engines every week but with the state I'm in, creativity is an extra struggle on top. I'd love to just make something little that I love and get a part time to cover that, but I can't even do the former. Some days I can't even paint.

The value proposition of working at an AAA studio was that you were trading independence and agency for stability, and that if the game did well, you would keep your job, and if the game did badly, you might lose it.
