The thing is, while they're not right about a lot of things, vegans are actually correct that our industrial food system is wildly exploitative and unsustainable. But their weird black and white thinking helps keep better practices from being widely adopted.

Forty years ago the US eradicated a flesh-eating parasite that targeted livestock with the help of science, government funding, and international cooperation. Now the threat is returning and the country's defenses are down. (Yes, it's an allegory for measles.) www.bloomberg.com/news/feature...

Call it something fancy like "malfeasance" or something simple like "incompetence" but either way there should be articles of impeachment to remove the HHS secretary for being a shameless liar who is working relentlessly to make people sick.

Maybe you prefer sitting in front of a screen all day having most of the product of your labour going towards billionaires' yachts and a militarized police state over working with your hands to plant or build things that help your community, but I've done both and I know which I prefer

Meanwhile, Reuters is blaming “a CNBC report” in its official copy. I can tell you that’s false. CNBC on air didn’t say one word about this until markets had rallied into positive territory and they were initially baffled about it. Flippin chaos out there. www.reuters.com/markets/us/f...
April 7 (Reuters) - Wall Street's main indexes fell back into the red in choppy trade on Monday after CNBC reported White House officials were not aware of U.S.
President Donald Trump considering a 90-day pause in tariffs for all countries except China.
The White House denial came after stocks rose on a CNBC report about Trump considering a tariff pause.

most men simply cannot handle the cutthroat world of email jobs. it requires a level of discipline and self control they're not emotionally equipped for. i work in an email job environment that's 80%+ women (heaven) and each & every man still around is tough as nails, by which i mean cool + normal

There are literally not enough journalists employed in the US to cover the bad shit that is happening right now. We are now going to experience the social consequences of a weakened news industry--which are the same as the benefits of a weakened news industry, to those who weakened it.
