I recommend people read this to get a sense of the president's grave cognitive impairment. Trump is either unwilling or unable (or maybe both) to answer the questions he's actually asked, so he just rants and raves while the interviewers do their best to provide structure to his random brain firings

Some of you have forgotten that only three years ago you were perfectly capable of writing an essay, writing a eulogy, telling a bedtime story to a child, and it should worry you that powerful companies have convinced us we can’t do things we’ve been doing for 5,000 years.

I am still digesting Jason Arday's book, Great and Unfortunate Things. It's not easy to read what he stood for and know how it ended. Here's just one little snippet just to give a flavour. There is so much humanity here.
To this day, even as someone with a relatively senior position at a university, if I go into a boardroom and there's a swivel chair, I'll take the opportunity to swing around on it. That's the great thing about the autistic imagination: a swivel chair isn't just a chair - it's a fairground ride, an opportunity to release tension. I might have learned to suppress a meltdown but not a yearning for a swivel in a chair.

The Pictures of Darpan Ray is my first contemporary novel. It’s a reimagining of The Picture of Dorian Gray, set mostly in Mumbai/Bollywood between the ‘00s and the ‘20s: a twenty-first-century vortex obsessed with youth, beauty, power, art, spirituality and conformity.

this came out January of '86, a low point for me, and there were times that making it through until to the next Wednesday, when the new comics came out, was about all that kept me going. (same month as "Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow" Pt 1 & DD #230 ("Born Again"))
P 7 of Swamp Thing #48, in which John Constantine, in some dark caves, sees something bright coming toward him and realizes too late it's the Invunche and he's about to get smacked.
