Here’s the thing: you could, in theory, train an ‘AI’ model by hand. No computer, just pen and paper. Then determine the response to a prompt, also by hand. It would likely take many years even with a team of thousands working on it, but it is possible. Ask yourself: would the paper be thinking?

The FDA just approved daraxonrasib, a breakthrough drug for advanced pancreatic cancer that doubles survival time. This is huge: pancreatic cancer was once thought untreatable. The researchers received a standing ovation when they presented the trial results, unheard of at scientific conferences.
