I was in college a decade ago and I thought we were coming far and then the Brock Turner case slapped all of us across the face and I feel like its only gotten worse from there. It feels markedly less safe for women and marginalized people (likely because it is but Im not an authority.)

Caine as a beast is almost the same as his canon design, though he's larger, angrier, and has more animal-like traits. His body without clothes is smooth yet jagged on the edges to resemble fur that prickles up like hackles. He has a tail that ends like a sparkler. His arms end with large claws, barely hidden when he wears gloves, and his legs end with ungulate hooves. His body is dark and semi transparent, where you can see his rig bones and his broken heart.

As a prince, he wears a tattered reddish black cape with an amulet that resembles Bubble, a dark red-brown vest, and puffy pirate blouse idk what you call it lol fuck you.

He has two enchanted items: a mirror that lets him see the outside world (lol) and a single blue rose that loses petals, representing something akin to the blue construct he killed out of jealousy and abandonment. The Moon is found crying tears as he sulks over the rose, hinting that the Moon might have been part of cursing him with his affliction as The Echantress.

Lastly, we get a glimpse of Pomni, who is supposed to be Belle. And much like her canon self, she ventures into an unknown and mystical world with more than she bargained for. However, she might be the key to turn this story from one of tragedy to one of happiness.

DLC 1 will have some of my last work at Obsidian. Im really proud of where we were before the layoffs. Im proud of where I was; my team trusted me to lead the anim look of *redacted*. I helped with dozens of improvements to our facial anim pipeline. Im proud. Just waiting to be able to show off.

Im gonna take the bus for the first time. O.o You can interpret my lack of use of public transit 2 ways; privelege and lack of access. LA was car culture first and I was raised by ppl that thought riding a bus meant you were a loooooser. Then add in that the buses did suck. But they dont here!

Made it up to Great Ball 1 in Pokémon Champions with my 'grass team'. Adding Indeedee as the waitress to help sinistcha set up trick room was the magic ticket, as well as bringing in Jimbo the snorlax to gunk shot fairies and focus blast the stupid dragon bridge. Im stuck at Great Ball 2 in Pokemon Champions, but Im roleplaying as a grass gym leader that runs a local cafe. Rillaboom is groovin on the cafe stage, sinischa is serving up matcha, while appletun and hydrapple serve up the baked goods. I lose about half the time, but Im hard to deal with.

Been having a lot of fun with art again. Losing the fancy animation job was pretty demoralizing to say the least. I know I 'want back in', but its been nice to do art for me and just for me. Been making collages for the wedding, arranging flowers, and drawing pokemon.
