I went through a period of several years where I hardly touched games longer than a couple hours. This was a good time for me as a player. I learned a lot of games and met wonderful folks. But, it also introduced a lot of small points of friction and waste into my life as a player.

I've never seen such an effort to censor a document as I have the Amnesty International report on gender critical groups because of JK Rowling. They removed the report from the Wayback Machine and now I got a DMCA strike on my Google Drive for having it. It was deleted and removed from my account.

I keep running into this "issue" with physical games where I kinda just play the *good* ones, so I have a warped sense of what the design space is like. I mostly just run Root: the RPG, so it's totally foreign to me that a game would *tell* the gm to run the common people as a formless mass.
