Went to Sweetwater Creek State Park outside Atlanta today. It has neat ruins of an old mill. Beautiful day near the water.

The one simple trick to get these back down is to restore global order. Policy is of course a big lever but more certainty helps lead the horses back into he barn.

This is their sweep the leg move. I'm right, you're wrong, and if you say any different you're out of line. They don't welcome debate. Why there's no use when the ding dongs pine for it.

People constantly talk about "cheap Chinese AI models" but other than the latest MiMo no Chinese models are on the Pareto frontier- you get better results cheaper by using US models at lower efforts. Qwen in particular is so token hungry that 3.8 Max is *more expensive than Fable* for worse output!

You have to travel back to late 80s or 2001 when it absolutely impacted wealth effects for those with any holdings, but the UE situation didn’t show up hard in most daily lives. Certainly felt that inept wage and economic growth from 08-18 though. Graduated right into it and all we knew pre-Covid

Our goods baskets are much smaller than they were in Covid, coupled with higher profits, keeps this pass thru more muted than what is feared. It is nonetheless continuous as high energy prices cement into transportation budgets, pushing up costs further. Also pushing for further diversification.
